Shellfish

Shellfish refers to any aquatic creatures having a shell exterior or a shell. They are classified into two groups: crustaceans and mollusk. Among popular crustaceans that are eaten are shrimp, lobsters, crabs, and crayfish. While in mollusks are clams, scallops, oysters, and mussels. They are commonly caught on saltwater and also present on freshwater.

Arctic Pearl provides wild geoduck, spot prawn and our newly onshelf product, dungeness crab in the industry.

Harvesting and Freezing Method

Shellfish are collected in a variety of ways according to their kind. Our Spot Prawn and Dungeness Crab are caught through the Trap (Pot) method while our Geoduck is by Diving. These shellfish are preserved with Frozen at Sea (FAS) and Contact method.

Cooked or raw — you name it!

Shellfish seafood is a sustainable food source and available on cuisines worldwide. Undoubtedly, one of the healthiest choices of food and low-cost. It has a briny and sweet flavor and a delicate and soft texture. Usually eaten raw or lightly cooked and can be prepared in different ways.
