Lingcod belongs to the Hexagrammids family. As derived from Ophiodon elongatus, it has a serpentine-like complexion and is an elongated fish. They have a large head and 18 sharp teeth. It is an excellent source of low-fat protein, Omega-3 fatty acids, high in Vitamin B-12, and selenium. Most popular seafood for fish and chips. Its raw flesh is a blue-green and becomes white when cooked.
